Ahhhh! Sun!

This weekend the sun is finally shining, and it's so beautiful out!  I have a couple of pics of us at the park. It is so nice out that we have to take complete advantage of it.
Braiden playing at a park close to the house

First thing for Caleb was to play in the rocks of course.

Some more pics of playing

Blaine kept trying to take my picture, so this is my "fine, take your picture already" look

I am loving the warm weather, it makes me excited for summer and for camping, hiking, and all that other wonderful warm weather stuff.  One of the things that put a smile on my face this weekend - and really regret not getting a pic of - is of Braiden and his friend in their shorts and t-shirts sliding down the snow drifts on the side of the house.  It was a great use of two seasons in one!

new hiding spot

Today while doing laundry I had taken one load out of the dryer and when I got back to switch the clothes from the washer this is what I found...

He decided it was a very fun thing to do to climb into the dryer.  After I got him out of there, he climbed right back in.  I was able to keep him out of there long enough to switch the clothes from the washer over; so then he tried to climb into the washer.  He wasn't as keen on that since it was still wet.

Lately he's been throwing all sorts of stuff into the washer and dryer, and I've pulled quite a few interesting things out when doing laundry, but now I guess I'm going to have to watch out I don't wash and dry him!

What's so funny?

Earlier this afternoon I could hear Caleb laughing pretty hard.
So I had to go check it out...
So what did he think was so funny?
This!!! I love how the simplest things can be so darn hilarious.
He had to keep lifting the goggles up; maybe to check to see if Braidens eyes were still there?
I love how Braiden can just get Caleb laughing so much. Couple of great kids!

Easter weekend

We had a busy Easter weekend. We got to see all our family, and had a great time being able to see everyone. First we went to Calgary to visit Blaines family. It was so nice out that we decided to let the kids run around fish creek park on Sunday afternoon. We met up with some of Blaines family there.

Braiden running around
With Blaines mom at Fish Creek Park
Taking some pictures while waiting for some cousins to arrive.

We went down to the river to throw some rocks. Caleb wasn't so sure about walking on the rocks. He didn't seem to be much of a fan, he preferred to be carried here. Except he really wanted to stay right by the water, and was not impressed that we would not let him in the river.
Still playing by the river.
After that we went for a walk down the paths. As you can see Caleb was starting to get tired and was not impressed. Braiden of course is being his crazy self.

After being at Fish Creek for a while, we headed over to Blaines dads place to have a very yummy easter dinner. It was great to be able to see everyone, and get to hold the new babies of the family. Braiden loved playing with his cousins, and Caleb just loved climbing the stairs over and over again.
Monday we were at my parents. First we had an easter egg hunt. The kids had a great time.
I was attempting to show Caleb some eggs to pick up, but he seemed more interested in the bikes at the time.
The boys hunting down the goodies
Kristi and Matt were also in town, so it was awesome to see them again. They came over to hunt the eggs with us.
Caleb holding one of his treasures, and of course loving the fact that he's being held by Grandpa.
going through their loot. They got pretty spoiled!
After the easter hunt, we got to have another yummy supper. Mom decided to do a buffet style supper. It was a great idea, and we all loved it. We figured that we need to do supper that way more often!
As you can see we are a very sophisticated bunch at the Wilde house. Playing a nice game of croquet. Actually it was fun, and the kids all really liked it.
Tyson got a football for Easter so it had to be thrown around as well. Maybe we have a few football stars in the making?
Clint doing some heavy reading here. ;) Actually I loved this book as a kid. OK, I still like it a lot, and I'm thinking Clint does too! Shannon got us all playing this pictionary game on our phones, so you can see Crystal playing it. It was kind of a funny scene cause we are all sitting around the living room playing a game with each other on our phones. New age of interaction eh?

And the lovely crazy Shan. She's probably wishing I would put a normal picture of her on here. Haha, maybe one day!
All in all, it was a great Easter weekend!

Edmonton trip part 2

During the first day both Matt and I tried out those aqua massage things. I've seen them before, but Blaine thought we should try it out. It actually was pretty cool, and man did it tickle the crap out of your feet!
So the second day we headed over to the water park. Braidens favourite part this year was the wave pool. He went on some slides, but mainly wanted to stay in the waves. That's always been my favourite as well. Blaine of course is all about the slides, so we watched him go down the crazy ones, that I have not got the nerve to go down.
Playing in the kiddie pool. Caleb loved it, and we all loved how warm it was. :)
how cool is it to watch water come out of a tube? Very cool according to Caleb.
Calebs first water slide. He seemed to enjoy it; either that or he couldn't figure out what the heck was going on.
Braiden loven the slide. I think this was his favourite one, he would keep going back on this one.
It's kind of funny, but the moment Caleb ever goes into a hot tub, he immediately relaxes, and looks like he is going to fall asleep
My three guys all just hangen out in the hot tub.
Playing in the "big kid" area.
Braiden pullen his faces. He's such a crazy funny kid

This is the new waterside at West Ed. Blaine was so pumped for this one. He had to wait all day for it to open, and he was so worried that it wouldn't. He loved it! One of the videos below is of him on this slide, and you also get to see Caleb trying to put the lens cap back on. He's such a good help. the other videos are more slide ones, but not of the crazy slide variety. It was a fun trip, and we can't wait to go back!

Edmonton trip part 1

The past couple of days we went to West Edmonton Mall. It was so much fun. We met up with some friends of ours, and had some great times. I realized when we got home and started looking at the pictures that we took, that we actually had hardly any pictures of the Edwards! What the heck? Well, I guess there is always the memories! Mainly the Kristi incident in the food court, and Braiden won't let Matt forget that he got peed on while playing laser tag. He didn't really get peed on, but something to do with how they had to shoot zombies and one of them "peed" on Matt. I wish I could have seen that! haha

So these first pics are when we got to Edmonton Sunday night, and hit the pool first thing.
Caleb likes to ride on Blaines back in the pool
Braiden all geeked out with goggles that were not fitting so good
Caleb enjoying the pool
So the first day we met up with Kristi and Matt at Galaxyland. It was a lot of fun. I'm not much of a rides person. I prefer to not become nauseas and throw up... but I do love to watch the others go on the rides.
Caleb and I on a ride I can handle.... sort of. To be honest, I did feel a little queasy after this. Yep, I am just that lame on rides. Caleb loved it though!
Braiden on the go karts
and the bumper cars

Caleb watching Braiden on a roller coaster, desperately wishing he could go. I'm thinking that when he gets older he is going to love theme parks
So here is one of the only pics with Kristi and Maitland on it. Loven that train! haha
So all day I kept trying to get Braiden on this boat ride. I remember loving this ride when I was younger. Finally I got him on it, but then I couldn't get him off it! He ended up going 14 times in a row! This pic was his first time, he worked his way up to the seat in the back, and loved it!

A great couple of days!
