He's loven it

Braiden has really fallen in love with snowboarding. I'm pretty sure that if he could he would be out there everyday. Blaine and Braiden went with some friends back to Castle Mountain again the other day. Blaine was telling me that he is just doing so good. I'm so proud of my little guy! Blaine also told me that when he and Braiden were going up the ski lift Blaine asked him if he wanted to ski next time they came. Braiden turned to him and said "Skiing is totally old school dad. I snowboard" haha Funny kid. I guess Blaine and I are totally old school! Here are some pics and a video of the day.

this baby was made for walking

Caleb has been able to walk for a couple of months now, he took his first couple steps when he was nine months. For the first while though he thought walking was just a game that you did between people. He still used crawling to actually move around. The last month he's decided that walking is now a good way to get places. Here is just a little video of him walking. I love when he gets to the kitchen and is worried he's going to hit that wall. Makes me laugh a little...

growing up

Today our little guy turned one! It seems so crazy that it has already been a whole year since he joined the family. Caleb is such an amazing kid, I honestly can't imagine life around here without him. He is such a happy baby, always laughing, and has a smile that just makes you melt. He is such a sweetheart. We are definitely blessed to have him in our family. He has been pretty sick these last few days, and I was worried that he would not be up to much today. He woke up feeling much better today, and was back to his playful self.
He kept trying to reach the little banner all day. He was constantly trying to get someone to lift him up.
With his presents. He liked all the wrapping paper, and he really didn't get what was going on. He was a pretty happy confused little guy.
Liking his presents. Braiden was being extremely helpful by unwrapping all the gifts. :)
Checking out the sparklers on the cake. We had to keep lighting new ones; they were just that exciting. :)
A very happy messy face, and loving cake!
Here's a little video of Caleb having fun with a toy. And Braiden pulls a couple funny faces in it too.
Happy Birthday to our sweet little guy. We love him so much!

Gotta get out

The past month we had been taking turns being sick around here. Because of this (and the cold weather never helps) we have all been feeling way to house bound. It was starting to feel like we had been trapped in these 4 walls for years. I'm thinking Blaine was really starting to feel it, because on Sunday he decided that after church we were headed out on a road trip. He wouldn't say what we were doing, just that we were not going home. We ended up in Waterton. We went to go check out what the waterfall looked like since we have never gone there in the winter. The falls looked so cool. I loved it. I'm not really one for taking pictures without having someone in them, but had to put this one in, because I thought it just looked amazing. And also the picture doesn't do it justice.

The boys at the falls
I thought this was a funny one, because it looks like Braiden is pondering the questions of life. haha
On the way home we decided to get out at Lundbreck falls to run around and stretch the legs. We thought the falls there looked pretty cool too

I'm thinking we need to go back to Waterton soon, but next time to remember our snowshoes!

Spoiled rotten

Happy Valentines Day! This year I have to say that I got spoiled! I am one lucky girl that is for sure. As you can tell from the pic Blaine went all out this year.
I have to say that I have the best hubby in the world. He is always doing things for me, and trying to make life easier for me. And of course he always makes me laugh. Not only did I get flowers and chocolates, but he also gave me one of the best presents ever. Most people know that I have fibromyalgia, and so because of this poor Blaine has to hear me whine and beg him for a massage constantly. So he went and set up some appointments for me to get a couple of massages. And believe me, that is one of the best gifts ever!
I can't say enough about this guy. He is the greatest dad - he loves to be with the boys all the time. And he is the best friend anyone could ask for. I am so lucky to have him!

Day on the hill

Braiden decided that he wasn't going to ski this year, but instead to learn how to snowboard. So last weekend Blaine took him and went with some friends to castle. He took a lesson and loved it! Blaine said that he did awesome, and picked it up really fast. I have to say that I am a little jealous (ok, a lot jealous) that I stayed home, and didn't get to watch him. I'm thinking next time I'll just have to bring Caleb and Blaine and I can take turns with each of the boys. I loved hearing about the day; Braiden was so excited when he got home, telling me all about it. When I first asked him how was it to snowboard, his answer was "Sweet!" I had to check out all the pics right away, and love that Blaine took a bunch and some video too. So here is our snowboarder. Blaine and I also figure that we better learn how so that we can do it too.

Braiden also said that he wants to keep going, but it's okay when the snow melts because now he can go water skiing and wake boarding in the summer! haha He is such a great kid, and growing up fast
